Women’s Forum Sierra Leone Engages Gender Ministry to Strengthen Collaboration and Women’s Empowerment Agenda

Women’s Forum Sierra Leone has paid a courtesy visit to the Hon. Minister of Gender and Children’s Affairs in a continued effort to strengthen coordination and advance the national agenda for women’s empowerment in Sierra Leone.

The engagement focused on key areas of collaboration between the Ministry and women-led institutions across the country. Discussions also highlighted the need for government subvention to support the sustainability of WFSL’s regional and national secretariats, as well as plans to mobilize support for the construction of a permanent administrative office for the Forum.

A major point of the discussion was the importance of unity among women’s organizations, with emphasis on speaking with one voice to strengthen advocacy and national impact.

The Hon. Minister reaffirmed her commitment to building stronger partnerships, reducing rivalry among women’s groups, and convening a national conference on women’s empowerment to further consolidate efforts.

The visit reflects a shared vision of empowering women and girls and promoting inclusive development across Sierra Leone.
