About us
Our History
The Women’s Forum Sierra Leone was established in February 1994, in response to the need for a nationwide network of Women’s Non-Governmental Organizations that would take collective initiatives and actions for the overall advancement of women and girls throughout the country.
Currently, there are three hundred (300) organizations registered within the Forum at Regional, District and Chiefdom levels. We are partners in the development process having signed the Service Level Agreement with the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs. We are also registered as an NGO with the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and SLANGO.
