She Leads Consortium Boot Camp Day 2 Empowers Girls and Young Women with Key Skills in Bo
Women’s Forum Sierra Leone and partners have successfully concluded Day 2 of the She Leads Consortium Boot Camp, focusing on building the capacity, confidence, and leadership of Girls and Young Women (GYWs) in Bo.
The second day featured a series of engaging breakout sessions designed to equip participants with practical skills for personal growth and social impact. Key sessions included advocacy and lobbying, where GYWs learned how to build strong relationships with policymakers, as well as creative approaches through art, media, and drama to drive change in their communities.
Participants were also trained in resource mobilization and project management, gaining knowledge on proposal writing, securing funding, and sustaining initiatives. Leadership sessions further strengthened collaboration, self-awareness, and empowerment among the young women.
The day ended on a positive note with moments of fun and bonding, reinforcing unity and teamwork among participants.
The boot camp continues to serve as a platform for nurturing the next generation of female leaders, with participants looking forward to the grand wrap-up of the program in Bo.
